Marissa is Feeling Like Reality!

This is a picture of Marissa opening the gifts we sent her for Christmas. Oh ny gosh, she is so darn cute! Can't wait to hold her. Everything seems to moving along perfectly right now.

It's a 99.99% match!!!!!

Kim from our adoption agency called today to let us know that Marissa's DNA was a match!! That means all we wait for now is our preapproval (can take up to 30 days from today) to enter PGN (Guatemalan Court) and then we are off to Guatemala. PGN has no set timelines. Some people have only been in PGN for two weeks and others have been stuck in PGN for months. We are realistically hoping for our agency's average of 5 weeks. Once out of PGN we just wait to get her embassy appt which usually takes two weeks and we will be flying high to get our sweet little girl that we can only dream about right now! Pray for speedy everything at this point!

New Hopeful Timeline
2 weeks to authenitcate DNA 1-31-07
3 weeks preapproval by embassy 2-8-07
5 weeks in PGN (Guatemalan Government) 3-15-07
2 weeks to travel date 3-29-07

DNA is done! We are moving forward!!

Just got the call from our adoption agency saying that DNA was completed on December 28th. It wasn't the 19th like we had hoped as it throws us off two more weeks, but we will take it! This is the new timeline we are hoping for, of course we know that anything can still happen. Give or take a week or two but this is a close estimate.
2 weeks to get DNA results back 1-11-07
1 week to authenitcate DNA 1-18-07
3 weeks preapproval by embassy 2-8-07
5 weeks in PGN (Guatemalan Government) 3-15-07
2 weeks to travel date 3-29-07
